Hailing from the fresh air and mountain streams of western Maine, Shem Dixon is ready to ride his native coast and through his native forests into Canada on this summer’s Coast to Quebec trip. A 2011 graduate of Bowdoin College, Shem majored in Biology and Earth and Oceanographic Studies. He was also heavily involved in the Residential Life program where he served as a Head Proctor, overseeing ninety first-year students and a team of resident advisors. Before that, Shem honed his leadership and communication skills as the President of his College House. Shem graduated magna cum laude from his high school where he was President of his National Honor Society and a three-sport captain during his senior year. Shem loves the outdoors, particularly all of the amazing opportunities available in his home state of Maine where he can be found trail running or cross-country skiing just about every single day of the year. Shem can’t wait to share that love with his Apogee groups this summer! Shem is certified in First Aid and CPR.
