We suggest that this blog best be read with a Slurpee in hand as we delve into the slushie flavors that best encapsulate the unique spirit of each crew.

Alps Explorer A (AXA)

Slurpee: Hibiscus Lemonade

Our fearless hikers were greeted with a special treat today after all their hard work conquering the Tour du Mont Blanc over the last week…a rest day in Courmayeur, Italy!  An alpine resort town surrounded by indescribable views of the Alps, the group explored the area and feasted on authentic Italian cuisine before trying out a climbing wall. Incredible hikers and rock climbers? The AXA’ers can truly do it all. Speaking of well-rounded, 7-Eleven’s latest Hibiscus Lemonade slush is a delicacy perfect for summertime. Described by 7-Eleven connoisseurs as a tart and earthy flavor, our AXA campers have themselves become one with nature throughout their trek on the TMB.

Alps Explorer B (AXB)

Slurpee Flavor: Full Throttle

It’s day ten on the Tour du Mont Blanc for our hikers as they ascend along the Col de Grande Ferret, a alpine pass between the canton of Valais in Switzerland and the Aosta Valley in Italy. Today’s hike marked the border crossing into Switzerland, a milestone celebrated through a ribbon cutting ceremony! The aptly named “Full Throttle” flavor of Slurpee is the perfect match for our hikers, who’ve tackled the challenge of the TMB with ease. Oh, and the Full Throttle features a flavor blend of citrus, the staple fruit of Italy! The crew has been putting the pedal to the metal with smiles all around, and we’ve loved watching them crush it each and every day!

Cape Cod & the Islands (CI)

Slurpee Flavor: Blue Raspberry

It’s arrival day for our newest batch of bikers! Sharing first hello’s, playing get-to-know-you games, and a first taste of bike orientation and safety was on the docket for today. The group is raring to go, and couldn’t be more excited to set out on the trail for the first time tomorrow. To represent their ‘electric’ nature, a Blue Raspberry slush is in order. The vibrant color is a little preview of the beautiful blue sea that our bikers will soon get to experience as they ride through the Cape!

Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)

Slurpee Flavor: Mountain Dew

It’s arrival day for CRM! We are so thrilled to welcome our newest mountaineers, who shared their first hello’s, smiles, and laughs today. After some get-to-know-you games, our group set up camp for the first time at Grand Lake, catching their first views of the Rockies. While a little on the nose, the Mountain Dew Slurpee is the name of the game for our campers, as they’ll be venturing out onto their first day hike tomorrow!

Europe Coast to Coast 1 (ECC1)

Slurpee Flavor: Cherry

Today’s bike trek through Europe featured a plethora of lush farmland and roads, an idyllic picture of the French countryside. After wrapping up their ride, our bikers got the chance to explore the town of Nancy, France. A bright and vibrant flavor, cherry is one of the most classic 7-Eleven staples, just as checking in on our ECC1’s adventures has become a tried and true part of our day here at the office. The group is pumped to start working their way through the Vosges Mountains tomorrow, we can’t wait to watch them crush it!

Europe Coast to Coast 2 (ECC2)

Slurpee Flavor: Coca-Cola

ECC2 hit the road bright and early today for a gorgeous ride along a canal. The trail later gave way to rural, rolling hills that encapsulated the beauty of the French countryside. It’s currently a super cool time to be riding through France, as July 14th’s Bastille Day is approaching, promising parades and celebrations that our bikers will be lucky enough to see! As our bikers have kept up their infectious energy throughout the trip, the burst of energy in a Coca-Cola Slurpee is the perfect match for them. We can’t wait to continue following our bikers’ adventures on trail tomorrow!

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)

Slurpee Flavor: Blueberry Lemonade

It’s arrival day for MCJ, how exciting! The group gathered for the first time to share hello’s and play get-to-know-you games together. The excitement in the air was palpable, as our campers are itching to explore Acadia National Park tomorrow. Also on the horizon is a morning kayak, which will be a wonderful introduction to the coastal views of Maine. Speaking of Maine, the state is known for its blueberries (we can testify, they are truly the best here), so there is no better slush flavor for our MCJ crew than a refreshing blueberry lemonade!

New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

Slurpee: Jolly Rancher

Our campers continued to explore the White Mountains of New Hampshire today, embarking on a day hike after a grocery run in a nearby town. Our campers were all smiles for their hike, and for that, we feel the Jolly Rancher flavor of slush captures their infectious, joyous energy throughout the trip so far.

Northwest Explorer (NWX)

Slurpee Flavor: Big Gulp (Power Berry Edition)

After recently completing their six-day backcountry expedition, our NWX crew had a well-deserved rest and relaxation day in the city of Bellingham, Washington. After taking time to explore the downtown area of Bellingham (including a super cool park!), the group started prepping for their kayaking adventure tomorrow. Of course, the group made sure to fit in a few games as well. Our hikers are pumped to get out there on the water, and we are beyond excited for them. There is no better flavor than Power Berry to describe the spirit of these NWX’ers, as they have rocked each and every day on the trail.

Pacific Coast (PC)

Slurpee Flavor: Mangonade

After a day of climbing back to the coast of California, the Pacific Coast crew enjoyed a well deserved rest day in Mendocino. After a little extra sleep, and a breakfast that breaks the routine of bagels and cream cheese, the crew enjoyed a day in Mendocino, a costal town along the lost coast. After a ride into town accompanied by some more views of the Pacific Ocean, the crew enjoyed a nice lunch. But before exploring the town of Mendocino the crew enjoyed a round of an Apogee classic, Alaskan Baseball! With beach views and a great meal, the PC crew preps for the final leg of riding getting closer to San Francisco. The refreshing flavor of Mangonade, a mesh of mango and lemonade, is the perfect pairing for a day like the one our PC’ers are enjoying! Spirits are high to get back on the road.
