Howdy friends, family, and dedicated Apogee blog followers! Welcome back! We could not be more stoked to be starting our biggest summer yet. Today marks the start of TEN trips, from Barcelona to Cape Cod to Anchorage, the adventures have finally begun. Stay tuned for some consistently awesome updates on everything Apogee!

Maine Coast Junior (MCJ)
Ayuh (translation: “Yes” in a thick Maine accent), you heard right, today the MCJ group met their leaders, Ryan and Emma, in Freeport, and are dutifully preparing to become authentic Mainahs! These young explorers are already having a wicked good time.
Cape Cod & the Islands (CI)
Our young CI adventurers met up with leaders Michael and Joanna for an afternoon full of hilarious introductions, snazzy games, and of course, some key lessons on bike safety. Cape Cod doesn’t know what’s comin’!
Colorado’s Rocky Mountains (CRM)
After meeting Eddie and Jordan in Denver, our CRM crew is heading up to gorgeous Grand Lake where they will be hunkering down before they begin their hiking adventure. Rumor has it that – breaking update: the rumors have been confirmed – they even saw some bison during lunch today. Colorado Rockies here they come!
Golden State Adventure (GSA)
Our GSA crew is starting their adventure off right after uniting with Jonathon and Cassidy in beautiful California. Tonight they head to serene Lake Cachuma, where they are sure to play some whacky games and have some sweet dreams about the copious amounts of fun they are about to have.

Costa Rica Language & Service (CRLS)
Our awesome CRLS group is full o’ smiles after meeting up with their awesome double-J leaders, Julian and Julia! Before you know it, they’ll be heading out of the city to brush up on their Spanish and do some service work in the gorgeous Costa Rican countryside. Jealous yet? We are!
California Mountains & Coast (CMCA)
Our West Coast CMCA group is soaking up the sunshine after meeting up with Nils and Nicole (You know the old saying, “Alliteration makes the dream work!”). They are headed to Olema tonight, where they’ll spend their first night getting stoked for the undoubtedly beautiful hiking to come!
California Mountains & Coast (CMCB)
Our CMCB group is already crushing it in Cali after meeting up with their leaders, Jeff and Anna! They are getting ready to play some seriously fun games tonight at their cozy campsite in Petaluma.
Alaska Mountains & Coast (AKMC)
Wowee! Our first Alaska Mountains & Coast group ever(!) is pumped up and ready to explore after a long journey to reach Garth and Olivia. We can’t wait to see the adventures these groundbreaking students will take on in the coming days. The Brunswick, ME Apo office anxiously awaits to see if Alaska or Maine rightfully deserves the title “Moose Country” – please report back, AKMC!
Pyrenees Mountains & Coast (PMC)
Check out our PMC crew fueling up in Barcelona after meeting their leaders, Connor and Liana! These champs have to stay energized as they prepare to flex their Spanish and hiking skills in the coming weeks. Jet lag is no match for these intrepid travelers! (P.S. major shoutout to PMC for submitting the first blog pics of 2019)
America Coast to Coast (ACC)
After meeting up with leaders Ezra and Lorin in Charleston, these bold bikers are conquering the heat with some classic ACC Apogee traditions. With some stylish new jerseys and a little bit of East Coast salt water, this group can’t wait to start making their way across the country!
