Update 8: Wednesday, May 13, 2020 (updated post with regard to Apogee’s final decision with regard to summer programming)
Like the rest of the world, Apogee has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have put more details in our emailed communications to enrolled and applied families, but after reviewing available information provided by relevant medical and government bodies and examining our own policies and procedures, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person programming this summer. The coronavirus pandemic, with its unknown medical consequences, unknown duration, and the confusing, contradictory regulations in many different jurisdictions, simply present too many unacceptable risks to our students, to our staff, and to the communities we pass through.
As an organization we live for summer and our hearts feel heavy knowing our students and trip leaders won’t be adventuring across the globe together this season. However, we are going to emerge from this situation energized, engaged, and more ready than ever to present young people with impactful, community-oriented experiences in the outdoors. We will dearly miss our Apogee family this summer and cannot wait to reunite in 2021!
As always, please be in touch with any questions – info@apogeeadventures.com or 207.725.7025.
Wishing all of our Apogee friends and families our very best for a meaningful and healthy summer.
Chad, Kevin and the Apogee Team
