Hello, Apogee people of the world! Sam here, back for a few last blog posts before we all head our seperate ways. The summer is truly nearing its end, as all the trips have reached their final destinations and just have an awesome final day together. With three trips ending and flying home today, we are left with just four trips in the field!
NWX: Paddling off of the water after another world-class sunset, the group has made their way to Seattle. They get to spend one more day together exploring before the long flights home on Saturday.
PCA: Crossing the big red bridge and into San Fran, the group rode under beautiful skies for their last day on the bikes today. Tomorrow will be spent cruising around and eating food-not-cooked-on-camp-stoves to close out the trip. Here’s a picture of the gentlemen of the road in Sausalito before crossing the Golden Gate, followed by a photo with the bridge in the background.
PCB: Made it to San Francisco, and everyone is loving life! They also crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, which you can almost make out in the foggy background of the photo. With some urban exploration and a final dinner in front of them for tomorrow, this group is nearing the end as they fly out Saturday.
ACC2: With ACC1 but a memory as of this morning, Mike and Danika’s crew had the run of the town today! They are exploring San Diego’s funky Newport Ave neighborhood (which includes – coincidentally, I promise – the Apogee Body Piercing shop…) this afternoon before they head to watch the sunset from some gorgeous seaside cliffs.
