Kayak, stars above.
After a lovely and tranquil rest day, our AKMCA crew geared up to have an awesome day of kayaking in Resurrection Bay! They soaked in beautiful mountain views, saw some neat wildlife, and paddled to camp for the night. What a day! Tomorrow they will get on the water to head back to basecamp.

Wilderness awaits

Go, AKMCB, go! This awesome Alaska squad headed into the backcountry for the second time this trip today. They had a great day of hiking, stellar views and trail games! The peacefulness of the Alaskan wilderness lulled them to sleep in preparation for another exciting day of backcountry hiking and exploration tomorrow.
Alps Explorer A (AX)

Swiss journey begins.
Anndddddd they’re off! AX welcomed their crew in Geneva this morning and are now headed to Zermatt to camp for the next three nights. At the airport they enjoyed lunch, played cards and Uno, and got to know each other! This incredible group is excited to see the Matterhorn in the coming days and continue to become close as a squad!
California’s Coastal Mountains (CCM)

After hiking out of the backcountry yesterday, our CCM crew had an awesome rest day in Capitola. They spent most of their day hanging out by the beach playing games, soaking up the sunshine, and relaxing! Tomorrow they head to Big Sur for a day hike!
Caribbean Service (CS)
Kayaking with glee

Today our CS crew had a stellar day of service at the Northeast Corridor Nature Preserve. They did some river clean-up in El Corredor whilst kayaking and stand-up paddling boarding – SO cool! After this awesome morning, they had a lovely lunch and headed to the beach to relax and hangout. What an incredible day!
Costa Rica Mountains & Coast (CRMC)
Through jungle’s lush green
Exploring Bahia’s charm
Adventure enthralls.
Onwards and upwards! Our CRMC had an awe-inspiring and scenic hike out of the jungle to San Isidro. They saw stunning flowers, interesting plants, and even a waterfall! Once out of the jungle, they hopped in the car to head to Uvita and spend some time at the beach and explore the cute village of Bahia. They’re excited for a sweet day of snorkeling tomorrow!
Europe Coast to Coast 1 (ECC1)
Biking through the Alps
Switzerland to Italy’s charm

Holy cow! Our amazing ECC1 crew traveled from Switzerland to Italy today, visiting a total of 3 countries. What a day! Beyond this amazing feat, these fabulous bikers saw some insanely beautiful views and lovely villages on this once in a lifetime ride. Hopefully soon they will be able to try some delicious Italian pasta!
Europe Coast to Coast 2 (ECC2)
Wheels at last are still
In Austria’s calm we refill
Resting, hearts fulfill.
After valiantly conquering the beautiful ride that took them through the Alps, our ECC2 crew took a well-deserved rest day in Landeck. Our awesome bikers caught up on sleep, bike mechanics, and laundry, while also exploring the astounding nature and village of Landeck! The crew was SO ensconced in their R&R that they forgot to snap a pic before hitting the hay- we’ll let it slide in the name of carpe diem, ECC2!
Europe Coast to Coast 3 (ECC3)

WHOOP WHOOP! ECC3 crossed through the glorious Alps today! The group crushed some serious miles and enjoyed some stellar views. I mean look at those smiling faces, who wouldn’t be happy reveling in a picture-perfect movie-esque scene like that?
Maine’s Downeast Explorer (DEX)
Scaling to the top,
Maine’s green peaks rise high, quite high
Fun times, high-fives pop.
Nice job DEX! After hiking out of the backcountry yesterday, our amazing DEX campers woke up extra early to try and summit Maine’s tallest mountain, Katahdin! KatahYES! We weren’t able to get any photo evidence of the climb due to a lack of cell service in Baxter, but we are eagerly awaiting pics (that will come soon!). Tomorrow they are looking forward to a lovely rest day and their mail stop.
New England Mountains & Coast (NEMC)

Hooray NEMC! Our awesome NEMC crew met for the first time, got to know each other, and hopped in the van to head to camp for the night. They played music roulette on the drive, learned how to set up their tents, and made delicious s’mores for dessert! Tomorrow they look forward to a day hike in the White Mountains!
Pyrenees Mountains and Coast (PMC)

Today our Pyrenees group hiked their third day on the gorgeous Carros de Foc route in the high Pyrenees. The photos tell the story better than we could, but it looks like amazing weather for a jaunt through the mountains!
Vermont to Montreal A (VMA)
Canada’s delight

Fun adventures ignite.
Oh Canada! Our stellar VMA bikers crossed the border into Canada today – woohoo! While their ride did not include ice hockey, maple syrup, or poutine, it did include some beautiful views of Quebec! This crew crushed an astounding 50 miles on bike today and had a great time doing it. We can’t to follow along with the rest of their international adventure!
Vermont to Montreal B (VMB)

Champlain’s views, a dream.
Are these not the happiest causeway riders you ever did see? Our VMB team is saying goodbye to Burlington and hello to Grand Isle! They hopped on everyone’s favorite form of transportation – the ferry, of course! – and enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Tomorrow they are looking forward to a fun day of biking and crossing the border into Quebec (Oh Canadaa!).
