Day 3 – Broader Smiles

Three more trips started this afternoon, Faithful Blog Readers.  We are now fully committed, with twelve trips in the field all over the world.  Today was Maine’s day to shine as our Coast to Quebec and Downeast Explorer groups got rolling on a picture-perfect afternoon here in the great state of Maine.  We heard from our Tuscan Service group today, they were great and enjoying their first get-to-know-Italy ride from the charming town of Spello to the even more charming town of Assisi.  Unfortunately, we haven’t figured out a good way to get pictures yet – but we’re hopeful that may we have some for you tomorrow.

We do have pictures from a whole bunch of other groups, though …

CI1 – Our Capers completed their service project today on a Chamber of Commerce afternoon in Marthas Vineyard.  They were picking weeds and strawberries (that’s good multitasking…).

CSA1 – Here’s a shot from last night – this is our Caribbean group enjoying their first night at the beach in Luquillo, PR.  To work this morning, as you’ll see below…

CSA1 – From the beach to the rainforest – here’s our guys after their first day of service in the real, live rain forest at El Yunque.

DEX1 – In this picture, you have to imagine the happy kids – Nora and Josh baked these cupcakes for their group to enjoy on their very first night together tonight up near Camden.  Mmmm.

PC1A – This picture is actually from last night – Andy and Danika’s group enjoying their first Pacific Ocean sunset.

PC1B – Also from last night, here are a few of Lucas and Anna’s Pacific Coasters preparing a delicious meal of broccoli with just a touch of seasoning from the campground itself.  By the way, these guys are demonstrating flawless “kitchen” cooking safety.

ACC – Apparently, this picture represents our riders with Georgia on their minds.  Get it?  First state line – check!
